The Bank of England canceled plans to sell long-dated gilts as part of a major overhaul of its QT program, opting to hold £120bn of gilts maturing 2049 or later to maturity, gradually run off £222bn maturing before 2035, and sell the remaining £146bn maturing 2035-2049 at £20bn per year, possibly directly to the government via the DMO, with all planned QT auctions paused until next April.
