US August seasonally adjusted nonfarm payrolls rose 162,000, the highest since March, far exceeding the 56,000 market expectation, and Treasury yields rose after the release; separately, several single-stock news items were reported including Nvidia's discussed $2.5 billion investment in Thinking Machines Lab, Tesla's Cybercab launch in Austin, and Anthropic's planned $15 billion credit facility expansion.
